Stephanie Schneiderman kicks off a residency at Jimmy Maks

Stephanie Schneiderman kicks off a residency at Jimmy Maks
Febuary First and Third Thursdays Cocktail Hour 7-8pm. IT IS A FREE SHOW! And super swanky. Jimmy Maks is totally romantic and it looks like a movie!

Beginning in February, 2010 every first and third Thursdays, Portland's own Stephanie Schneiderman will perform material from her landmark CD Dangerous Fruit at Jimmy Maks. Schneiderman's partnership with prolific Northwest electronic producer/DJ Keith Schreiner reveals songs that artfully combine ambient-indie-pop, trip hop, folk and soul. Joining Stephanie is a bright young new-to-Portland talent, Jade Vanacore, on keys and background vocals. The duo will experiment on new songs as well with beats, loops, keys, electric guitar and harmonies.

Capturing the fans of Goldfrapp, Feist, Suzanne Vega and Beth Orton, Stephanie has been featured on programs like OPB's In House and “Oxygen,” the first single, has been added to Triple A stations around the country. The group just got back from touring through major US markets like Chicago, NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
