Are There Any Righteous Women Rockers In Portland?

...Or are they all gross? (lost balls on linking to a certain "lady")

aliagrace -- I KNOW! It's weird. God I want to name names... But I think anyone who is reading this blog can think of at least one or two women who only want indie boy attention... GOD DAMN where is Emily Wilde? I want her to go off on Riot Grrl shit...

It's a damn shame Portland can't represent!

Hmmm I think every artist or musician seeks attention...if someone appreciates and respects what you do it really shouldn't matter whether they are boy or girl indie boy or riot grrl. Why didvide into sect's and isolate yourself or others? What makes someone Righteous?

Usana -- I would like to first address the question about what makes someone Righteous...
As per answers.com:

righteous

adjective

1. Having or marked by uprightness in principle and action: good, honest, honorable, incorruptible, true, upright, upstanding. Informal straight-shooting. Idioms: on theup-and-upup and up. See honest/dishonest.
2. In accordance with principles of right or good conduct: ethical, moral, principled, proper, right, rightful, right-minded, virtuous. See right/wrong.

From my OPINION:

Any one who kicks ass and treats people (not just white, indie boys) rad...

As far as your other questions I think I will try to address them in another blog.

This blog post was general and vague but I wanted to get the conversation started. It's been bothering me for a few years now...

Goldie,
Your opinion is kinda the same point I was tryin to make.
I've seen some socially stupid shit here in the music scene which didn't really happen so much where Im from...Smaller community I guess.
Anyway Thanks for clearing part of that up...

As far as dividing people up in to sects -- isn't that's the nature of music anyway. Classical, Jazz, Rap, Country; are those not sects?
Besides, I really want to hear some women I can relate to. Isn't that all everyone wants anyway? (i guess I just realized that myself -- i better blog about it)
I want to love and support everyone BUT I don't have to like their music or there attitude right?
I want to thank you for participating in the conversation. You am so glad you stop in and give me a piece of your mind! :-)

Upon reading this I understand a little bit more about what you're talking about in the next one.
