Question of the Week: Hey You!

This one is for the musicians/performers, which I'm sure encompasses much if not most of our readership. What would you say was your most successful moment as a performer?

I think mine was shortly after performing a solo acoustic set when I overheard a guy from the audience describing it as the scariest thing he'd ever seen.

My proudest moment as a performer was probably when a sound guy at a show said we were the best band he had ever done sound for. That made my month.

Jamming with Ike Willis? Playing a show at the old Satyricon(with 36 Crazy Fists opening up for us) after having been shocked in the mouth by the mains through my mic? Nope, it has to be rocking out at that resort that had the lemonade fountains.

I'm not by any means a successful or accomplished musician, but those motherfucking lemonade fountains are why I don't have a bucket list. LEMONADE DRINKING FOUNTAINS!!!

I had no idea lemonade fountains even existed! You have truly lived the dream.

Mine was when AristeiA opened for The New Year and David Bazan. We covered a Bedhead song and one of the dudes said he caught the end of it. I was stoked.

Me and Ben staged a happening at The Someday Lounge... it involved me heckling him loudly and then joining him on stage for a rap. What was the hook "bring the boo back"?

i smashed a dave mustane signature model pointy flying V at a house show in northeast. then we knocked over all our gear. our drummer was worried that i broke his stuff. the punx were mad cause i might have the scuffed the floor when i snapped the axe in half. i simultaneously felt like a total dumb-ass and a super rocker all at the same time. still have part of the guitar.

I think Dave Mustane would approve.

What kind of punks value a scuff-less floor over rock bad-assery?

That is pretty badass, Travis. BTW, my brother left your "Sci-fi Explorations" in the car. Wacky stuff.
