Well, when I titled my last post "New Era" I had no idea how portentous that would become.
However, I'm sad to report that Dykeritz is no longer a band. Or, perhaps I should rephrase that, Dykeritz is no longer playing live. For awhile. Although Jordan will hopefully be back with new songs and a new lineup circa 2010.
Don't want to get too gossipy and drag names through the mud, so let's just say we had an unfortunate incident (incidents) @ band practice last Thursday evening which caused enough damage to cancel our upcoming shows @ holocene, in seattle, and @ rotture this fall.
Apologies to those who were looking forward to those.
In the meantime, I hope you will join me in enjoying The Fall as well as continuing to be psyched about music.

re: 3 - I definitely got some good leads. Pretty damn bummed we're not playing Holocene tomorrow or Seattle Tuesday, but I have the next 3 days off to follow up on those leads, so it might be a blessing in disguise. I just wish the band didn't end the way it did. Too much unnecessary drama.
PS -don't know if you saw it, but Ezra just added our blog as a "friend" with a link to us on END HITS, the Mercury's music blog.....
KT - dude. I don't know what you are going through with the band but is sounds sad. I'm bummed that i didn't go see you sooner. I've been living the scene from my computer for months. I didn't know Ezra added a CIMTB link! I read the merc and WW from my Google reader. I don't normally visit the page directly. Thank you for letting me know. I suppose I'll add a link to them :-)
Sorry to hear about the dissolution of the band. I'm glad I got to see you folks in all your massive glory a couple of times.
That is a bummer, the show at the Doug Fir was pretty great and I was excited to see some great/awesomeness continue. Don't wait until 2010, that's just too long.
